The pandemic brought about an unpredictable and yet reflective time of individual inquiry. Fear was heightened and questions to this day remain unanswered. Throughout this time a slower pace was adopted and individual identity was asked to be reconsidered.
Using various camera formats (film and digital), 35mm slide projections and multiple exposures a series of self portraits that exam identity and perception were created. These photographs are traces of my physical existence and at times resistance. They are not the telling of a story of the self, as an autobiography would, but they reveal images or snapshots - each portrait existing as a diary entry. The result of these images of oneself is a dialogue with time. It is as if I was at the same time in the presence and in the absence of myself.
